Note - Bring your friends. Feel free to play as a soloist or a group. All music is performed live, totally acoustic without microphones or amplification (although small amplifiers are welcome for lead players when played at a reasonable volume).

For Music fans / listeners

Feel free to sing along, socialize, bring your friends or make new friends. Drink or eat in a friendly environment that is warm, cozy and is FREE with no cover charge or admission charges (1 drink minimum).
Who plays:

Professional Artists who want to Showcase new material, promote their CD's and upcoming shows or who may just wish to interact with other musicians in a performance environment.

New Musicians/Singers/Songwriters who wish to perfect their performance skills while benefiting from the learning experience made possible by the presence of professional artists, other musicians and a live audience.

Part-time and Weekend Musicians who want to express themselves in a formal club environment in front of a live audience.

Who is the Audience? The audience is generally a diverse mix of locals, tourists, professional artists, new musicians, and others who share a love of live music.
How It Works:

To Play or Sing at the Event - See the UMO representative when you arrive. You will be called on when it is your turn to play.

How Many Songs? - Varies according to artist turnout. Generally, each performer leads a maximum of 3 songs during their set. Once you finish your set you must leave the stage, unless you've been invited to backup the next performer. As long as time remains during the show your name may be placed back into the queue so that you can be called on for another set. (Note: If you are playing when time runs out (6 pm), you’ll only be allowed to finish your current song and the end of show announcement will be made.)

Solo Artists or Groups? Musicians are welcome to invite other musicians to perform with them. HOWEVER, since this is a performance opportunity for the announced performer as opposed to a jam session, musicians should not go on stage with the performer UNLESS they have been invited by the performer to join him/her on stage.

Professional Courtesy – In order to maximize the number of times each performer gets to play, we ask that all artists be prepared to get on and off the stage quickly before starting and after completing their set. Also, performers should refrain from lengthy pre-song monologues or excessively long jam sessions, which could end up prohibiting other musicians on the list from having a chance to play before time runs out.

Although there are no minimums, you should expect to make a beverage purchase. UMO Music only operates the "UMO Music Event" presentation and is not involved in bar operations or admission policies of the host club. If you have any questions about bar operations and admission policies, please see your bartender or waitress.
